2011 and all that

We've had a cracking 2011 with loads of group shoots and plenty of other activity this year.

Dapo CokerJanuary
We started with a very early shoot at the beginning of January to blow away the New Year hangovers at Curtain Road studios. Great attendance and we got to see all the Christmas presents everyone had received (or bought themselves).

Miss CharltonThere was also a Bridal shoot at the end of the month.
And to top that Konrad became a dad in January too.

#58 Hold me!February
In Feb we managed two events, a group shoot at Holborn Court and a Photoshop training day for 10 members of the group.

Free fallMarch
Like The Jam we went underground at Waterloo station.

Lauren & CharlotteApril
April saw two mini group shoots in various parks in London.

LucyMay
A group shoot on Hampstead Heath. Who would have thought it could be so cold in May!

Michael Onabanjo-WhittaJune
A group shoot on the Thames Beach.

In July and August it seems that everyone went on holiday!

Amanda 7September
Another month with two events. We had a group shoot at Croxley Green and we also had our first group exhibition. You can still see the images here…

PinupOctober
October saw out first "Tutorial Shoot". This should become a feature of the group shoots over the next year.

C. DoveNovember
In November we went to Clerkenwell House for our final group shoot of the year.

Many thanks to Gavin, Tyla, Jonothan, Ghene, Karen, Philip, Simon, Paulo, Scott, Gary and Craig for organising all of the above.
There were also numerous smaller shoots and people teaming up to help each other out over the year. In particular we should mention Emil for organising several training shoots for new members of the group and in the process raising a lot of money for Yulisa.

We managed to have a social nearly every month including an excellent critique night organised by Mr Dawes. We even managed to get to a few exhibitions too.

And there's more… Tim Saunders drove to Mongolia in an ambulance, Paulo shaved off his beard and then grew it back again all in the name of photography mens dangly bits and Lucy cycled across Cambodia and Vietnam!

Several people got some wider recognition for their work. Jaroslav had an excellent write up on the Strobist blog and John & Tina Reid had a guest slot on Scott Kelby's blog. Many other people in the group also had work published or exhibited.

Congratulations to everyone concerned. You make this a fantastic group with your active participation. Here's looking forward to an action packed 2012.
